Each of the students participated in the Association’s annual scholarship challenge, which asks applicants to submit information about their community service and their academics along with an essay discussing their personal positions on body cameras on police officers. Do warning signs mean I can’t sue?
It’s rare to walk through a store, restaurant or other public place and not encounter a range of signs and displays warning against one danger or other, including “Beware of Dog” or “Caution: Wet Floor.” Many people wonder if these signs mean that they can’t sue the homeowners or owners of these businesses if they are subsequently hurt by the dog or a fall on a wet floor.
